ZST Education Grants Messages of Appreciation

ZST continues its programme of supporting Zambian students in their final years at university or college. We believe we are among the largest international supporters of tertiary education in Zambia, having assisted over 300 students in the past 10 years at a cost of more than £200,000. The courses studied by our beneficiary’s range widely - from purely academic disciplines to practical, vocational fields.

During 2025 we supported 77 students - 49 young women and 28 young men - studying subjects including health and medicine, engineering, sciences, teaching, environmental studies, agriculture, and business administration.

We continue to receive messages of appreciation from recipients of our grants. Two are published below.

“I am pleased to report that I have been keeping well, and the semester has gone very well. I sat for all my examinations and I am currently awaiting the results. I am glad to say that no major challenges were encountered during this period.

I would also like to once again express my heartfelt gratitude for the support extended to me by the Zambia Society Trust. With the help of this grant, I have been able to accomplish what I set out to achieve this semester. I am now only one semester away from completing my MSc in Epidemiology & Biostatistics.

This journey is bringing me ever closer to my goal; to contribute meaningfully to improving the health of the people around me and to be part of something greater in public health.

Thank you once more for believing in me and for your continued support.”

“I studied bachelor of Pharmacy at Lusaka Apex Medical University for 5 years. I was given a grant from 2022 to 2024.

I hope you are doing well. I would like to sincerely thank you and the organization for the support you have given me over the past two years. Your help has made a huge difference in my life, and I truly appreciate everything you have done for me. I honestly would not be where I am today without your support.

I’m also happy to share that I will be graduating on May 8th this year. This achievement is not just mine, but also a reflection of your generosity and belief in me.

Currently, I am doing my internship at Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital, where I am continuing to build my skills and gain practical experience.

Thank you once again for everything. I am deeply grateful.”
