Africa Fun Day Report

A memorable afternoon in near Zambian conditions in the Sussex countryside was had by all at the Africa Fun Day kindly organised by ZST committee member Ben Van Nes on his farm. All the proceeds raised on the day went to orphans and vulnerable children in Africa and a big shout out goes to Ben for his generosity and hospitality on the day.

Our Chairman John Barnard acted as chief salesperson for ZST ably assisted by his wife Judy and and Val Pearson. We had a great selection of our merchandise for sale including cards, mugs and tee-shirts, some of it illustrated above. Some of the items will shortly be available to buy via our website. We were pleased to meet and chat with old and new friends with Zambian connections. Several African focused charities were represented, and the entertainment laid on by Ben ensured that the day lived up to it’s name, and brought a glimpse of Africa to Sussex.
