ZST Social Gathering London Saturday 30 May 2026

You are warmly invited to join us for a meeting of the Zambia Society Trust in the Crypt of St John’s Church, Waterloo, 73 Waterloo Road, London SE1 8TY on Saturday 30th May. Please note the change of venue; the High Commission is not available this year because of building works.
The aim is to give members and supporters the opportunity to meet together socially - a chance to meet the Trustees, catch up with old friends, meet representatives of other organisations with links to Zambia, and learn more about the work of the Zambia Society Trust. We are delighted that Her Excellency the Zambia High Commissioner Macenje Mazoka will be joining us and will deliver some opening remarks at 1.00pm. The meeting will also include a talk about Book Aid International, with whom we have a partnership and who have supplied books to some of our projects in Zambia.
The programme is as follows:
12.00 onwards - Arrive at St John’s Church, Waterloo
13.00 - Opening remarks by Her Excellency The High Commissioner, followed by a light buffet lunch
14.00 – Guest Speaker: Samantha Sokoya, Head of Programmes and Partnerships at Book Aid International
15.15 - Meeting closes.
The cost of the light buffet lunch will be £16 per person, inclusive of wine and soft drinks. Vegan and gluten free sandwiches will be available.
Zambia Society Trust merchandise will be on sale, together with some items made by APTERS in Lusaka.
