Special General Meeting St John's Church London Saturday 30th May

Dear Members,

In accordance with the ZST Constitution, I have called a Special General
Meeting which will be held on Saturday 30th May during our Social
Gathering at St John's Church in London. The purpose is to seek your
approval for the ZST Trustees' decision to appoint Mrs Eileen Hamilton to
the honorary role of ZST President. We have been without a President
since James Cairns resigned several years ago. Our Constitution permits us
"...to invite a person considered to have achieved eminence in his or her
support of the objects of the Trust to serve as President of the Trust."

Eileen Hamilton has achieved such eminence by making an outstanding
contribution to the activities of our charity. For many years she was a
committed, hardworking trustee until her resignation last November on
health grounds. Her roles have included the demanding ones of Treasurer
and Membership Secretary. In addition, during her professional career she
worked as a nurse in Zambia, including being Matron at Saint Francis
Mission Hospital in Eastern Province.

If you are unable to attend the Special General Meeting, I invite you to
vote on the appointment of Eileen Hamilton as our President.
