Kwasha Mukwenu Community School Lusaka – Project Update
ZST is the school’s major donor and is heavily engaged with the school through our volunteers in Zambia, Bernard Lusale and Mwate Nampemba. Bernard has provided help and support with school governance and Mwate has given presentations to the children one of which included health and safety advice to the young girls.
Bernard recently undertook a training workshop. His report is below.
“The training was for all the teachers for both KM Community School and KM Nursery School. Six attended. The main objective was to enhance their knowledge on the importance of Teamwork and its effect on Productivity. This is the last training for the teachers according to my 2025 plan.
The topic for the training workshop was: Teamwork and How it Affects Productivity in Schools. We started at 11:00hrs with a conducted tour of every classroom and the surrounding, just to appreciate the school environment after a lot of transformation of the school has taken place through the ZST assistance program. It was interactive and well participated by all the participants who attended the training. Presentation was via the use of the projector on TV within the Computer lab. We ended at 17:30 hours.
The evaluation of the training revealed that all the teachers were very happy with the training content.
By coincidence, this marked the farewell event too for Teacher Boniface who has now been employed as a Maths teacher by the Government. It was a sad moment and at the same time a happy occasion.”
