Eileen Hamilton appointed President of the Zambia Society Trust

A Special General Meeting of the Trust was held after our Social Gathering on Saturday 30th May which unanimously approved the Trustees’ proposal to appoint Eileen Hamilton as our new President. We have been without a President since James Cairns resigned several years ago. Eileen was a committed and very hard-working Trustee for more than twenty years, acting first as Honorary Treasurer and later as Membership Secretary until she retired last year because of ill-health. In addition, during her professional career she worked as a nurse in Zambia, including being Matron at St Francis Mission Hospital at Katete in Eastern Province. We are delighted that she has accepted the role.
